Religious Organizations

We have many religious groups active on campus. The Scott Religious Centre is a meeting place for them; some groups are served by chaplains, and most have office space allocated to them.

Clubs and Organizations

Join one or more of the 290+ student clubs which include ethnic clubs, religious groups, clubs for particular academic programs and political groups.

Student Centre

The Student Centre is the central focal point for community life at York University. It is dedicated primarily to serving the cultural, social, educational, organizational and recreational interests of the York community on a non-profit basis.

Graduate Student Lounge

York’s Graduate Students’ Association owns and runs the Grad Lounge, a fully licensed lounge and restaurant dedicated to graduate students, for the specific purpose of providing an atmosphere for "heated debates and friendly banter over dinner and drinks with friends and colleagues".

York Lanes

York Lanes — features a wide range of shops and services including clothing, accessory and gift stores, a post office, restaurants, coffee shops, banks, a convenience store, a pharmacy, hair salon, optician, medical/dental clinic, bookstore, computer shop and more.

Art Gallery of York

The Art Gallery of York University (AGYU) has established itself as a flourishing asset to the University community, Toronto and the country. Its academic mission fosters the skill development of York University students by offering intern positions and acting as a venue for MFA thesis exhibitions.

Theatre @ York University

Theatre @ York mounts an exciting season of plays drawn from the contemporary and classical repertoire, featuring some of Canada’s most promising stage talent. Products showcase the performance, directing and production talents of undergraduate and graduate students in York’s Theatre Department.
