The MFA program focus is a multi-media approach to studio practice combined with critical enquiry.
You'll develop individual creative research and art production in conjunction with an evolving understanding of theoretical discourses and debates surrounding contemporary art and culture.
The combined MBA/MFA is offered by the Schulich School of Business and the Graduate Program in Visual Arts. Graduates of this highly challenging program will follow career paths in which knowledge of the arts and of management and business are required.
The PhD in Visual Arts is a four-year advanced degree that will prepare mature researchers with the highest qualifications to teach studio practice and theoretical courses, supervise graduate students within a university context, and have significant professional careers as artists.
The program is premised on scholarship that is practice-based. It offers a program of study in which original research is materialized and disseminated in the form of art works. Research in this context is focused on visual arts, as well as specific research questions that are defined by candidates.
