Diploma programs are open to students in any relevant graduate program or to those who have a general interest in graduate-level work. For diplomas that are part of a graduate degree (concurrent), please contact the relevant graduate program office. For graduate diplomas that can be pursued on their own (stand-alone, direct entry), applications are submitted online.
This diploma trains voice specialists to be effective teachers and to have a solid practical grounding in the functions of an acting/movement/voice ensemble.
The voice training includes voice science, anatomy and physiology, language, speech sounds, phonetics, dialect, coaching techniques and traditional and non-traditional approaches to voice.

Voice teacher trainees will complete the full acting or directing program. In addition, their course of study will include:
- weekly voice teachers’ seminar
- voice teaching and coaching assignments with productions on and off campus
- assistant teaching at the National Voice Intensive
- a major voice training research paper
