Welcome: What's New at York?
Join in a special welcome address with Assistant Vice-Provost & University Registrar, Darran Fernandez, followed by an opening presentation from York's Recruitment and Admissions team. We'll share news, updates and helpful reminders as we work together to support the newest incoming class of York University learners in September 2023.

The Future of Learning: York University's Markham Campus
Our newest campus will embed York University in the heart of one of the most diverse and dynamic urban communities in the province and country. Discover how academic programs and research at the Markham Campus will reflect the local economy, revolving around the core themes of technology and entrepreneurship and how they are driving innovation across all areas of knowledge and society.

Soar to New Heights: Global Learning and Engagement at York University
York University is committed to providing students with academic exchange, internship, and short-term programs abroad at one of its 300+ partners in 60+ countries. In addition, York provides students with a variety of virtual programs that connect classrooms in Toronto with classrooms around the globe, while engaging students in international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary projects and program solving. Join this session to learn how students can get involved and work towards global citizenry, as well as the general timelines, eligibility, and funding available to off-set the costs of participation.

Supporting Diverse Learners
Learn how Black Excellence at York University (BE YU) provides Black students with the supports they need to transition to university and maximize their student experience on the path to graduation. Through workshops, specialized events, mentoring, academic advising and more, BE YU is designed to champion the academic, professional and personal success of York’s Black student community.
You will also connect with members of the Centre for Indigenous Student Services, a safe gathering space that provides a variety of engagement opportunities for 350+ self-identified Indigenous learners such as cultural workshops, social programming, Indigenous Sharing Circle and an Elder on Campus program.

Choose Your Own Facilities Tour (Optional)
Join the Lassonde School of Engineering for a tour of our learning, researching and prototyping spaces in the renowned Bergeron Centre, a hub for collaboration and innovation. This walking tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and will depart from (and return to) the Second Student Centre.
Join a tour of the School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design. Explore our studios, labs and theatres where students are able to create and learn with over 30 degree programs to choose from. This walking tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and will depart from (and return to) the Second Student Centre.
