Admission and Application Procedures

High-school students outside Ontario, but inside Canada

  1. Meet minimum admission requirements (see below)
  2. Meet faculty-specific requirements (see below)
  3. Know the application deadlines
  4. Submit your application
  5. Submit all required documentation
  6. Consider a modified admission request (for students with a diagnosed physical, learning or mental health disability)
  7. Check on Transfer Credit for Advanced Placement

  1. Minimum admission requirements
    You are expected to complete the same requirements that you would fulfill for university study in your home province: completion of grade 12 and your secondary-school diploma.
  2. The academic average (cut-off) required for admission varies. For Fall 2010, Faculty cut-offs were in the following ranges:

    Environmental Studies - mid 70s
    Fine Arts - mid 70s to mid 80s
    Glendon - mid to high 70s
    Health - mid 70s
    -Collaborative Nursing - low 80s
    Liberal Arts & Professional Studies most programs, mid to high 70s
    - Criminology - low 80s
    - Administrative Studies - mid 80s
    - Information Technology - mid 70s
    Schulich - low 90s
    Science (most programs), mid to high 70s
    Engineering - low 80s

  3. Faculty-specific requirements
    You must also meet Faculty-specific prerequisities since some programs have higher averages or have supplementary procedures for admission. Choose your province of study from the list below:
