Admission and Application Procedures
in
Students who have the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
- In order to be considered for admission to York University, you need to meet our minimum admission requirements as follows:
- IB diploma with passes in six subjects.
- Three passes at the Standard Level and three passes at the Higher Level; or two passes at the Standard Level and four passes at the Higher Level.
- Minimum diploma points of 28 or higher recommended.
- Math Studies will not fulfill prerequisite requirements.
- You must also meet Faculty-specific requirements since some programs have higher averages or have supplementary procedures for admission.
- Make sure you know what the deadlines are for applying.
- Submit your application for admission.
- Make sure you submit all required documentation.
- Supplementary Information Form (Schulich School of Business or Social Work applicants)
- Audition/ Evaluation (Fine Arts applicants)
- Official Transcripts
- Course Descriptions from previous Universities or Colleges attended
- Language Proficiency Requirements
- Documentation required from Mature Students
- If you have a diagnosed physical, learning or mental health disability, you may want to request modified admission consideration.
Transfer Credit: We may grant a maximum of 18 credits (3 full courses) for Higher Level IB courses with grades of 5 or better, depending on program.
