About Program Degrees Offered and Application Requirements

Schulich has built a strong reputation, both at home and abroad. Ranked among the top 25 MBA schools in global MBA rankings and #1 in Canada, we are a business school with relevant, real-world, pioneering programs. These include Canada’s first IMBA (International MBA) as well as the country’s first comprehensive offerings in areas such as Financial Services, Arts and Media Administration, Health Industry Management, and Business and Sustainability.

The Schulich MBA teaches you to manage complexity, ambiguity and change as you examine business issues in a global environment using multiple perspectives. Schulich offers you the opportunity to choose from a selection of 20 areas of specialization – more than any MBA program in Canada. The capstone course, the Strategy Field Study, is the ultimate in integrative management education. This six-month strategic consulting project allows you to apply your classroom learning and strategic thinking in a real-time business environment.

With year-round full-time, part-time (evening and weekend) and accelerated study options, you can tailor your studies to your needs. With three campuses, you can choose the location that best suits you; York University’s Keele Campus, the Miles S. Nadal Management Centre in downton Toronto, or our campus in Hyderabad, India. With a wide range of innovative MBA programs and specializations, you can shape your studies to complement all that makes you unique — education, experience, aptitudes, interests, passions.

Your Schulich MBA degree will open doors and create opportunity both at home and abroad. It will give you access to global networks of leading academic exchange partner schools, Schulich alumni, corporate recruiters, and close industry connections.

Stream and Specializations:

Master of Finance (MF)

Schulich's Master of Finance program is designed to provide students with an intensive training in finance that is both practical and intellectually challenging. The course work is enhanced by regular research as well as professional seminars, taking advantage of the business community in Toronto and the Schulich alumni network.

Master of International Business Administration (IMBA)

The program features international business content, foreign language study, specialization in Asia, Europe or the Americas, an overseas study term, a work term abroad and an alumni network in leading corporations around the globe.

Joint MBA/JD Degrees

York’s Osgoode Hall Law School and Schulich offer this highly challenging, four-year program. You should ensure sufficient breadth in your legal studies to prepare for the Bar Admissions Course and the demands of a legal career. You must apply separately to both programs. Our graduates follow career paths in which business and law overlap, such as environmental law/business management; economic regulation/finance; or labour law/labour relations.

Joint MBA/MFA and MBA/MA Degrees

Offered by Schulich and York’s Faculty of Fine Arts, this three-year program helps graduates follow career paths requiring knowledge of the arts, management and business. In the MBA/MFA stream, you can specialize in visual arts, theatre or film. In the MBA/MA stream, you can specialize in art history, dance or music. You must apply separately to both programs.

Joint York/Laval Degrees

Offered through Schulich and the Faculté des Sciences de l’Administration de l’Université Laval in Quebec City, this program graduates bilingual and bicultural managers with a superior understanding of the Canadian business environment. You’ll study for two terms at Schulich (fall and winter) then for two terms at Laval (fall and winter).

Post-MBA Diploma in Advanced Management

This diploma immerses graduates of MBA programs from recognized business schools into elective courses from the Schulich MBA program. You’ll select courses to increase your knowledge of a particular specialization; deepen your knowledge of a specific area; or, develop your expertise in a new area.

Financial Engineering Diploma

You will gain the theoretical knowledge and specialized skills necessary to develop new financial instruments and to understand the role of financial instruments in risk management.

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Schulich’s MPA degree provides a unique combination of management education, program analysis and evaluation, as well as public policy analysis and development. We’ve joined forces with members of York's renowned Political Science department to design and develop the MPA program.

Master of Accounting (MAcc)

The Schulich Master of Accounting (MAcc) is a 12-month, full-time degree that provides comprehensive study in accounting and can lead to professional accounting certification. The program is designed for students with a 4-year undergraduate degree and is especially attractive to non-business graduates (such as social sciences, science or other professional studies) who have limited working experience.

Master of Business Analytics (MBAN)
