York University is home to over 10,000 international students from over 150 countries. Before these students arrive in our classrooms, they are required to navigate our complex systems of unique terminology and acronyms. This session will unpack the different experiences and understandings of our prospective students to improve our recruitment initiatives. Participants will explore recommendations on how to increase prospective students' affinity with the institution and how we as a collective can better support their transition.
