2023 SEM Learning Days

SEM Learning Days 2023

Connecting and Evolving Across the SEM Continuum

(July 17 – July 21, delivered virtually via Zoom)

The world of strategic enrolment management continues to evolve, and with that come opportunities to continue to connect and collaborate with colleagues who support work across the continuum.

This year’s theme, Connecting and Evolving Across the SEM Continuum will encourage all to explore evolving approaches and strategies in SEM, sustaining connections across the SEM continuum, and using tools, data, and shared experiences to support our work.

You can choose from a range of sessions related to recruitment and conversation strategies, retention, student services and student development programs, support for equity-deserving groups, and using tools and data to support our work.

Who should attend?

Staff and faculty at York University are welcome to attend! The SEM Learning Days brings together colleagues and subject matter experts to share and learn innovative approaches in their work across the SEM continuum.

Call for Sessions for the SEM Learning Days

Colleagues who contribute to work in student recruitment and applicant relations, retention, and student and alumni services are invited to submit a proposal to present at the SEM Learning Days.

Perhaps you have strategies, knowledge, or tools that you would like to share with colleagues! We welcome sessions that will contribute to knowledge building and dialogue across the SEM community and are eager to receive session proposals in the following areas:

  • Evolving approaches and strategies in SEM (e.g. programs and services along the SEM continuum, including supporting equity-deserving groups)
  • Sustaining connection across the SEM continuum (e.g. seamless and responsive experiences for applicants, students, and alumni, collaboration across the continuum)
  • Using tools, data, and shared experiences to support our work (e.g. learning from our recent past to evolve practices to meet applicants, students, and alumni where they are at, and leveraging technology and data in decision-making and to do our work)
