Warning about fraudulent offers of admission and scholarships

York University is aware that fraudulent third parties are misrepresenting themselves as agents, staff, or officers of the University and extending fraudulent offers of admission and scholarships to students. Protect yourself by understanding how York University does and does not communicate with students.

For in-person appointments

If you have inquiries about accounts, financial aid, enrolment or admissions, you can visit us for drop-in support. Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need to sign-in using QLess to get in line for an appointment.

QLess app

  1. Download the app on your smartphone from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
  2. Open the app and search for Office of the University Registrar (OUR) at York University.
  3. Choose the queue called Office of the University Registrar (OUR) - In-Person Service, Student Support and Advising.
  4. Enter your phone number where a SMS text message can be received.
  5. Once you are in the queue, you will receive an SMS text confirmation advising you to see one of our service desks. Completion of the YU Screening questionnaire is required.

QLess web portal

If you cannot access the QLess app, then you can also join the queue through this web portal.

  1. Enter your first and last name and your phone number where a SMS text message can be received. Click the Next button.
  2. Optional: Enter your York student ID number. Click the Next button.
  3. Choose the queue called In-Person Service, Student Support and Advising
