Visit a medical biophysics laboratory where light is used to probe living tissue and study everything from photosynthesis to eyes to the human brain! Visit the Allan I. Carswell Astronomical Observatory, home to a 1-meter diameter telescope - the largest on any Canadian university campus. (Ask about the time it took pictures of the James Webb Space Telescope!)

Visit laboratories where students use laser light to slow down, trap, and study atoms normally moving at a hundred metres per second. Visit a medical biophysics laboratory where light is used to probe living tissue and study everything from photosynthesis to eyes to the human brain! Visit the Allan I. Carswell Astronomical Observatory, home to a 1-meter diameter telescope - the largest on any Canadian university campus. (Ask about the time it took pictures of the James Webb Space Telescope!)
