You're Invited: York University’s 2026 Virtual Applicant Reception

We are so excited to introduce you to the York community!

Join us for our 2026 York University Virtual Applicant Reception – conveniently offered on two evenings, February 19 and 25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Choose whichever date works best for you!

This is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow future classmates, get your questions answered and start picturing your life at York.

In the central session, our admissions team will go over your next steps – whether you’ve received your admission offer or are waiting for a decision. You'll find out about scholarships, on-campus supports, student housing, and how to enhance your degree with a co-op, internship or work study job. From there, you'll have the opportunity to join tailored sessions about your program(s) of choice and connect with current students, educators and faculty representatives.

Virtual Applicant Reception Sessions


School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD)

Join us to learn more about our tight-knit art school within one of Canada’s most comprehensive universities. We’ll explore our programs, facilities, student life, and support services, followed by a live Q&A.

This is your chance to get your questions answered in real time and learn more about what sets AMPD apart.

The session will be hosted by our recruitment officer and joined by current student ambassadors, who will share their in-program experiences and answer your questions.

Whether you’re curious about what to expect if you’re admitted or simply want a better sense of the AMPD student experience, this is a great opportunity to connect with the people who know it best.


Education

Join the Faculty of Education session as we share with you the opportunities offered through the BA Educational Studies and the Bachelor of Education, teaching certification programs. You will hear from our students, who will share with you their experiences learning, teaching and gaining experiential education in the BA and BEd programs through the planned community  and/or school placements.  As a student in the Faculty of Education, you’ll develop workplace-specific skills and enhance your professional networks – all while completing your degree. 


Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change
