Most applicants applying for admission should apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre at ouac.on.ca.
You may use this application IF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO YOU:
- You cannot use an online application form.
- You are applying for admission to a certificate program.
- You are a previous York University student. Visit the Returning/Reactivating Students page for more information.
- You are applying for admission as a visiting student or fulfilling the requirements for a professional designation.
- You are currently enrolled in a York University pre-university or bridging course and are applying for admission.
- You are currently enrolled in the York University English Language Institute (YUELI) and are applying for admission.
- You are applying for the Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Professionals. Visit yorku.ca/makemore for details.
Application and Payment Instructions
- Complete the application (signed and dated) and provide the non-refundable application fee in Canadian funds. Incomplete applications will be delayed.
- Pay application fees using Visa or MasterCard.
Application Fee: $130
The processing of your application will be stopped if your credit card is refused. If you have fees outstanding with the University, we will not process your application until these fees are cleared.
Application fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. - Supporting documentation such as transcripts, course descriptions and language proficiency test scores (if applicable) must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions at York University. yorku.ca/myfile
After you apply
Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email containing your York reference number. You can then track the progress of your application and submit required supporting documents at yorku.ca/myfile. It is your responsibility to ensure York receives all the required supporting documentation and that it is received before the deadline date.
The Office of Admissions, York University, sends official communication about application and admission via email. It is important that you open, read and take action (if required) upon receipt of an email.
- It may take 6-8 weeks to process your application.
- The processing period begins after all documents related to your application are received. Supporting documentation such as transcripts, course descriptions and language proficiency test scores (if applicable) must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions at York University.
- If any required document is not received, your application will not be processed.
