About the Program
Build a strong foundation in business and accounting with York University's Bachelor of Commerce Accounting stream.
Gain expertise in key areas such as financial accounting, taxation, auditing, ethics and capital markets while developing the analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills valued by employers. Combining advanced accounting education with a broad understanding of business and management, this stream prepares you to navigate complex challenges, support organizational success and make informed financial decisions. Guided by award-winning faculty with deep expertise in research and practice, you'll learn how accounting drives strategy, performance and growth across a range of industries. Graduates are prepared for diverse careers in accounting, finance and business and are well positioned to pursue the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation through York's Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting and the CPA Professional Education Program.

Applied Learning Opportunities
