A new Markham Campus stream in York University’s established Commerce program, this option lets you combine 45 core commerce course credits with a focus on developing an action-oriented entrepreneurial mindset for overcoming organizational and societal challenges in an everchanging world.

Draw from business and social perspectives to understand how value is created in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. You will benefit from hands-on, practical education in entrepreneurship and innovation built on a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge. Program-specific courses will include Entrepreneurial Strategy, Creating & Launching New Products, Hackathon I & II and Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Equip Yourself:

  • Apply relevant theories, methodologies and critical thinking skills in solving organizational and societal problems
  • Work collaboratively with teams to communicate arguments and pitch ideas effectively to a variety of audiences
